Personal protection dog training · Sheffield

Protection training.
Control comes first.

Discuss personal protection training with Roman at The Canine Alliance. The starting point is your dog’s suitability, your handling and the goals you want to work towards.

Suitability, programme scope and fees are discussed before any commitment.

A considered decision

The right dog.
The right handling. Clear expectations.

Individual suitability

Breed alone does not establish suitability. Tell Roman about your dog’s temperament, previous training, behaviour and any safety concerns.

Owner involvement

Discuss your handling experience and the time you can commit to practice. Responsible control and consistent management remain essential.

Realistic goals

Explain what you mean by personal protection and what you expect from your dog. Programme recommendations depend on the individual dog and owner.

Before you commit

Start with a suitability conversation.

Share your dog’s age, breed, training background and your reason for enquiring. Include any bite history, reactivity or handling difficulties so Roman can consider the appropriate next step.

Personal protection training is not a shortcut for resolving uncontrolled aggression, fear or everyday behaviour problems. If those are your main concerns, explore the Behaviour Strategy Assessment.

No dog can be promised to prevent harm or respond reliably in every real-world situation. Do not stage confrontations or attempt protection exercises without professional supervision.

Questions before enquiring

Is every dog suitable?

No. Suitability must be considered individually. Do not assume that size, breed or existing aggression makes a dog appropriate for protection training.

What does training cost?

Fees depend on the agreed service and scope. Roman confirms the proposal and price before you commit.

Can I book through the behaviour assessment link?

Start with the protection enquiry below. Roman can discuss the appropriate route for your goals and your dog.

Where are you based?
